The RPA have realised that online verification process to register on the new CAPIS system is a major problem and alternatives are being put in place.
The main alternative route is to phone the RPA and go through some security questions. This is being referred to by the RPA and ‘Identity Check’. The method is only available to those who are already registered with the RPA (have a PI or SBI number) and will be based on the Customer Register rather than passports, photocard driving licence, bank statements and credit card information. Those who are not registered will need to contact Customer Services.
