Philip Pocock FRICS FAAV Director

Philip has worked for Adkin since 1964 and has forged close links with farmers and landowners in the area throughout that period.
His skills and experience over a wide range of rural property and business issues have seen him act for up to three generations of the same family. His specialist areas include property agency, strategic development, compensation claiming, contract farming and auctions.
Philip has been Chairman of the CAAV Education and Examination Committee and sits on its Executive Committee and Governing Council.

Julian has worked in Oxfordshire, the surrounding counties and further afield for the past 29 years, advising farmers and landowners on a wide range of issues relating to the occupation and ownership of farms and estates.
His planning and management expertise associated with all aspects of rural property, including the preparation of whole farm and estate plans, have led to assignments throughout the country and regular speaking engagements. He also specialises in landlord and tenant negotiations, diversification projects and property acquisitions.
Julian is currently Chairman of RABI, Vice Chairman of Governors at The Royal Agricultural College and a Trustee of the Farmers Club. He chairs the Tenancy Reform Industry Group for the Defra Ministers and has been Chairman of both The Farmers Club and the Oxford Farming Conference in recent years.
Simon Alden MRICS FAAV Director

Simon comes from an agricultural background, having been brought up on his family’s farm in Oxfordshire. He first joined Adkin in 1984 prior to attending the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. He returned to the firm and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1988. He has now been advising clients across Southern England for over twenty years on a wide range of property related matters. In particular, Simon deals with the majority of the company’s corporate and private client valuation instructions and now acts regularly as an Expert Witness.
Simon is known for his attention to detail and unbiased professionalism. He is currently Chairman of the Examination & Education Committee of the CAAV and sits on their Governing Council. He is also a past Chairman of the Local Branch of both the RICS and CAAV. His specialist areas of work include Corporate & Private Client Valuations, Planning & Development, Agricultural Support & Grants Regimes, Expert Witness and Property Agency.
Alison Bowler BSc MRICS Associate Director

Alison, a qualified Chartered Surveyor, joined Adkin in 1995 after graduating from the Royal Agricultural College with a Degree in Rural Estate Management.
Alison has undertaken a wide range of professional work but now specialises in Estate Management, residential and commercial lettings and management and rural diversification projects.
Sarah True BSc (Hons) MRICS FAAV Director

Sarah was born and bred in Oxfordshire and graduated from the Royal Agricultural College in July 1997 with a 1st class Honours Degree in Rural Land Management. Sarah is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and Agricultural Valuer and is also Secretary of the Berks and Oxon Rural Valuer’s Association, having gained extensive experience in Estate Management since graduating.
Sarah joined Adkin in 2004 and now undertakes a wide range of professional work, particularly specialising in Single Payment Scheme, Conservation and Agri Environment Schemes, Rural Property Valuations, Residential and Commercial Lettings and Management and Whole Farm and Estate Planning.
Emily Quinton BA (Hons) PGDipSurv MRICS FAAV

Emily came to Adkin in August 2007 after graduating from Nottingham University with an Honours Degree in Geography. Since then she has successfully completed the College of Estate Management Graduate Development Programme and in February 2010 was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Surveying, passing with a distinction.
Emily qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in May 2010 and her passed her Agricultural Valuers exam in November 2010.
Since joining Adkin she has worked alongside Simon Alden and Sarah True and now undertakes a wide range of professional work, particularly specialising in Property Valuations, Residential and Commercial Lettings and Management, Single Payment Scheme and Agri-Environment Schemes.
